Autumn leaves

Just a little post before i am off to Sydney ( i am so exciiited), i am finally packed and enjoying the sunshine and autumn leaves with a cup of tea with milk and honey.



I will be back soon with many photos to share and hopefully some lovely thrift and vintage finds.

Im new to twitter but i am hoping to keep it updated on my trip as i will be without a computer. So feel free to add me here .

1. What is your current obsession?
thick shelley duvall lashes, straw boaters, all manner of desserts, book fairs, pressed flowers... i could go on forever.
2. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
to freeze time!
3. What do you see outside your window?
trees in the garden are blocking my view of anything.
4. What's your favourite colour?
Lilac, pink and gold.
5. Your weakness?
shyness.
6. Which animal would you be?
a kitten.



7. What's for dinner?
i would love to have dessert for dinner..
8. If you could learn another language, which one would you choose?
french - i know a little but i would love to be fluent.
9. What's on your bedside table?
a teacup, some photographs in beautiful gold frames, a handpainted diary and some make up ; powder, eyeliner, eyelash curler.
10. Say something to the person who tagged you
she is a girl after my own heart, i would love to raid her closet i'm sure it is amazing!
11. If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere, where would it be?
somewhere in a secluded little town hopefully where it snows and surrounded by mountains.
12. What's your favourite children's book?
peter pan, and through the looking glass.
13. What's your favourite thing to do in the summer?
i love spending days by the seaside, and eating summer fruit.
14. What would you like to have in your hands right now?
a plate full of yummy desserts; cheesecake, cupcakes with icing and a bowl of macadamia ice cream!

16. What's your favourite article of clothing
a beautiful vintage peach dress i found in a thrift store the other day.
17. What would you like to get rid of?
my shyness.
18. If you could go anywhere in the world for an hour, where would you go?
paris
19. What did you want to be as a child?
lots of things, most of all i wanted to be a painter and a ballerina!
20. Do you prefer day or night?

21. What's your plan for tomorrow
i will be at work :(
22. What jewelry do you wear?
my engagement ring and occasionally a gold necklace i found in an op shop, i have lots of beautiful things but i rarely wear them.
23. What's your favourite smell?
rain, wood fires, baking, vanilla and jasmine.
24.What is on the walls of your bedroom?
some edgar degas ballerina prints, framed pictures of old hollywood stars (audrey hepburn and marilyn monroe), and fashion editorials torn out of magazines.

Packing

Today i am beginning to pack to go to Sydney this weekend, and drinking some hot chocolate to keep warm. It is the perfect day for staying in.





So my room is covered with every scarf, knit beanie and dress i own. I am packing expecting cold weather so knit beanies, oversized cardies and leggings for layering are on top of the list, as well as a couple of books for the trip; a thrifted copy of picnic at hanging rock and the biography of Jayne Mansfield.

Im so excited looking forward to the markets and op shopping in a new city, but i am also looking forward to all the lovely little out of the way cafes, especially the Lindt cafe - i have heard amazing things about there macaroons and waffles with white chocolate ice-cream. Yumm.

April Dreaming

After a lovely easter break, feeling spoilt with too much chocolate and the most beautiful weather i am looking forward to going back to work tomorrow.

Though i wont be back at work for long before i am soon off to sydney for a couple of weeks for a holiday. I am excited to hunt down some vintage and thrift stores and markets as well as to go to the zoo.

I am dreaming of the perfect outfit to pack - which probably includes a straw boater.

Lazy April Days

Today i am in bed feeling sick but in between endless cups of tea and too much sleep i will be baking some chocolate cupcakes for easter.



It is also my first chance to wear this lovely sheer vintage apron i found on etsy. Doesn't it look like something a 1950s housewife would wear?



I hope you are all having more eventful days than i am, and i wish you the loveliest easter's as well.
